As cynical as you obviously are, your sense of humour sort of makes up for it. I like this post and would just like to say that I have quite recently (a few days ago) begun to try gemstones and soundwaves (an app I found on my Droid phone) to help me sleep better and it actually seems to be working. I have always been pretty open to most of these theories. To me, they make a lot of sense. Look into Shumann Resonance. I just did a little research on it as it is one of the soundwaves included in the soundwave app I mentioned before. Everyone is entitled to their beliefs and their cynisism and skeptisism, but I hope that soon, more people will open their minds and give some of this stuff a try. I know if I were sick, I would rather try surrounding myself with gems and gemstones than choke down a handful of prescription meds everyday. And I am in the healthcare field! Thanks for being open enough to try and educate people on these things despite your inability to truly beleive in their effectiveness! Best wishes to your mother!

Excellent information on alternative forms of treatment. More and more people are opting for gentle and natural treatments that don't invade and destroy.

AinsleyDrew,

I was tickled by your description of Medicinal Leeches. My scalp started tingling as I read through your description Pranic Healing. By the time I read your description of how crystals realign the vibrations of my aura, I felt the pain in my shoulders subside and a lightness in my core. As a career skeptic I'm loath to admit reading about alternative healing had a physiological effect. A word doctor by profession, a verbotherapist by vocation?
